– Sandy Langlands Well Being Grants –
Sandra Joan Langlands, APM, Commander 17373 (Retired) passed away on 24 September 2017. Sandy was the inaugural President and Life member of the Past and Present Women Police Association (PPWPA), which was formed after the successful celebrations of the 75th anniversary of women in Victoria Police – a group of highly motivated women decided there was a need to continue the fellowship and peer support they had enjoyed during the anniversary.
The Sandy Langlands Well-being Grants are a lasting memorial to honour Sandy, who was very much a ‘people-person’. Throughout her career, she was always concerned with the well-being of her own staff and also others who sought her wise counsel. She was always willing to give someone a hand with whatever needed doing and encouraged them to reach their full potential. In keeping with her kind, caring traits, the criteria for the grant has a very wide scope; how will the grant improve the well-being of the applicant.
The 2024 Sandy Langlands Well-being Grants are now open. Submissions close on 27 September, 2024.

The Grants are kindly sponsored by BankVic.
